For all you AV nerds out there; A once in a lifetime trip around the conveyor system at B&H Photo in New York City.

For digital diehards, B&H is a mecca of SLR cameras, lenses, computers, editing tools, and everything you could possibly want to produce media. I’ve visited B&H many times, and spent a lot of dough. In the used equipment section is a zoom lens for $250,000.

There are few places like B&H in the world, and even the Apple Store looks anemic in comparison.

edited to add: to those wondering about the tag about it being “real movie”- it’s a sarcastic dig at the RED 4/5K crowd complaining about it not being shot in 4K+. It’s being shot on Arri Alexa in 1080p.

Canon C300

More snaps of the Canon C300 at @videocraft Artarmon last night. Looks to be a great cam, feels great in the hand both shooting with the EVF and onboard monitor. I love the proper;y sized/supported shoe, and the grip makes waist level shots VERY easy. Shooting this without a rig would actually be comfortable.

I like it… a lot.
